Fresh out of university after studying Film and TV Production (quite literally graduating a few weeks ago), we caught up with Sabrina to not only chat about what she's got planned next, but also experience what it's like to be on set with her, witnessing first hand just how much of a natural in front of the camera she is.
At only 21 years old, Sabrina has already started making a name for herself and has a huge following on her blog The Young Eccentric. She tells us she only decided to start the blog in the Summer 2012 as an outlet to expressing herself and her creativity.
I just wanted to check that I was sane really! I had been really into my own style creating versatile new looks for myself and I wanted to see who else out there shared my passions...
Of course, it's safe to say that plenty of people instantly loved Sabrina's unique flair and attitude towards expressing herself through fashion - so much so that she has had some amazing opportunities come from it already. Modelling for ASOS Marketplace as well as having her own street style column in Company Magazine, where she has also landed a place interning this September. Sabrina even came with us lot at Gather.ly to Wireless Festival, accompanied by Debenhams' very own Henry Holland.
It's amazing for me the opportunities that have come from the blog. People ask me, how are you doing this? I just started a blog. That's all I did!
But from meeting Sabrina, I think it's a bit more than that. It's not only her style, but her that people can connect with. Her personality is just too compelling not to be around. Being an identical twin, she tells us that she has always been the joker in the family and that her sister is the total opposite. She mentions that perhaps it's down to being a twin that her strong sense of style and identity became so apparent.
I guess having a twin, you are reminded all the time that you just can't be the same! We both wanted to be different and we both have our own styles and personalities.
Lately, Sabrina tells us that she has been put under pressure to think about a life plan, which she says doesn't sit totally comfortably with her. "The idea of a five year plan is crazy! My sister has one, but my Mum is trying to get me to have a 5 month plan at least!" Sabrina is by no means lost though and certainly knows which direction she'd like to head in.
The idea of modelling is something that has grasped Sabrina's attention recently. She tells us that to find an agency that combines both personality and looks would be perfect for her right now - "Finding somewhere that hires me for me, and not just a pretty face". Describing her dream job she says:
I'm like everyone in that I just want to find a job that I love. I don't think I'd like to model for a brand I didn't feel passionate about or wear something I didn't feel comfortable in.
This is exactly why Sabrina is the kind of girl to inspire people to be themselves, and not be scared to be different. She is also great in front of the camera - she knows what she wants and she styles everything herself. It's something that comes so naturally to Sabrina and it's amazing to see her creativity emerge as she goes along.
Growing up in Windsor and then living in York for the past few years, Sabrina tells us she is now ready to hit London and find her niche, "I stood out like a sore thumb there!" she tells us.
My family would always say, Sabrina.. what ARE you wearing?!
There is no doubt Sabrina's on the right track though, A walking DIY, she never stops creating and mixing things up. "I get bored easily, I like to keep versatile!" she says. Which is perfect for the style of The Young Eccentric, and being a lover of photography too, it's the best place to show off her true passions and be in charge of her shoots.
We feel really lucky to know Sabrina, and have no doubt we will be seeing a lot more from her in the future. With her internship and modelling prospects on the horizon, there is no stopping her.
